Are We There Yet

Ingrid Michaelson is definetely one of my favorite artists these days, and 'Are We There Yet' is from her new album 'Everybody'. The album is selling for $ 7.99 on iTunes, and if you ask me it's worth every cent!

Comfort Food!

Ramadan has a way of making me remember all the mouthwatering food that I had forgotten about the rest of the year. This evening, Nigella Lawson's Sticky Toffee Sauce came to my mind- although I haven't gotten down to trying it out as yet, the recipe seems pretty straightforward and it definetely looked delicious on tv!

Sticky Toffee Sauce:

Ingredients

3/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon soft dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons dark corn syrup
3/4 stick unsalted butter
2/3 cup heavy cream

Serving suggestion: vanilla cream

Directions

Put the sugar, syrup and butter in a pan and slowly bring to the boil, allowing the butter to melt and the sugar to dissolve. Let the mixture bubble for a couple of minutes before carefully adding the cream. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes or until the sauce is thick, sticky and glossy.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.
